I Think I'll Take The Train

First song I remember writing (that was any good anyway) around 1979 I think.
Traveling down these lonesome railroad tracks.
Leaving home ain't never coming back. Heading out in sure desperation. Girl back home she ruined my reputation. Guess I’m on my own I think I’ll take the train.
Riding in this lonesome, lonesome train. Miles of track now flowing through my brain. Up with the sun caught the train at the Downtown Station. Packed my bags for no set destination. I’ve got no place to go I think I’ll take the train.
Traveling down these lonesome railroad tracks.
I wonder if she’d ever take me back? Although I don’t need no complications,
I’d be back with no hesitation. If she’d take me back I think I’d take the train.
